Every Tear

Every Tear

(No recording available… yet!)

I’ve only known you a few short years
But it feels like a lifetime now
Holding you in my arms, your tears in my hair
And the pain upon your brow

There’s all of this talk about statements of faith
But I believe in you
There’s all of this talk about healing the sick
And I believe that it’s true

And I’ll hold you in my arms, my friend
I’ll give you a shoulder to cry on
But the One who’s gonna guide you home
He’s the one you can rely on
To wipe every tear away

You know you’re on your way back home
But does that help you here and now
This rain is just a blessing in a stormy disguise
Though the tree to the wind must bow

There’s all of this talk about broken hearts
I know One who can mend
There’s all of this talk about running the race
But He’ll sustain you through to the end

There’s all of this talk about falling down
But I know you can rise
There’s all of this talk about crying a river
But there is One who’ll dry your eyes
